Rain and Other "Interruptions''

 Summer has arrived early in Indiana, with heat, humidity, and thunderstorms! The horses are not dumb bunnies and they have been hiding out in the barn for prolonged periods of time, while I've been hiding out in my nice, dry, air-conditioned house. Between the mud and the heat, there has not been a lot of playtime, so no new horse photos or stories. 

However, in addition to the weather, we have had some delightful other "interruptions" to our horse adventures, in the form of time with all of our children and grandchildren! We had a trip to Kansas City to celebrate the christenings and first birthdays of our youngest grands, Lexi and Will. Then had visits to the farm from our children who live in Indianapolis, including our grands Lily and Jacob.

The horses occastionally have to share center stage with the human residents and activities at the farm, and they don't seem to mind. Plenty of time, affection, and attention for all. We humans could learn a lesson from that! And, PLENTY OF CAKE:)
